ADA - the Americans with Disabilities Act information and links page.  Federal programs that offer support with technology, education, etc.

National Council on Disability - An independent US federal agency making recommendations to the President and Congress on issues affecting Americans with disabilities. Site includes resources for families, and a free newsletter.

OSERS: Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services- OSERS works through the US Dept. Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, conducting research and related activities to maximize inclusion, social integration, employment, and independent living for people with disabilities.

President's Committee on the Employment of People with Disability - Federal agency whose goal is to enhance the employment of people with disabilities. Information, training, and technical assistance to business, labor, rehabilitation and service providers, advocacy organizations, families and individuals.

Project ACTION - A technical assistance program that enables improved access to transportation for people with disabilities and provides ADA compliance information to transportation operators.

The Arc - US national organization on mental retardation, representing over seven million children and adults with mental retardation and their families.

US Access Board - An independent federal agency committed to accessible design. Responsible for developing and maintaining accessibility requirements, providing technical assistance and training and enforcing accessibility standards.
